Player Development Committee lays a wonderful platform
BBFC’s Player Development Committee laid for a strong platform for a program that will deliver improving results for many years. Highlights in 2011 were:
- defining what the club stands for
- establishing a relationship withUniversityofWollongongto measure player development and access resources to supplement technical resources
- inviting applications for all coaching positions
- grading open women’s A while retaining all players
- arranging two weeks of official pre-season trials for most teams
- creating a “squad” system for 6s and 7s using Football NSW’s “Global Football Systems”
- introducing player evaluation across all teams to helps development goals
- liaise with SSFA to ensure co-ordination with their initiatives
- hold a transformational leadership seminar for coaches
- ongoing communication with coaches about club programs
- arranging Football NSW School Holiday Clinics atLakewoodin April and July
